After spending two years at Geelong FC looking after its VFL side, Van Dyke has joined Carlton’s AFLW team as its doctor this year. She completed her medical degree in 2010, and is currently completing her specialist training in Sport and Exercise Medicine. She consults at Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre, where she sees a wide variety of acute and chronic injuries in both recreational and high-level athletes. Van Dyke has worked in many other sports including track and field, cricket and ironman, and she provides match-day cover for the A-League. She is currently involved in a large study looking at injury and illness rates amongst elite biathletes, which will see her travel to Europe for the Biathlon World Cup in late 2017.
