Rodney Williams Watts played reserve grade football for Carlton from 1977 to 1978, Watts had earlier represented the Victorian Schoolboys in the Teal Cup (U/17's) that featured Carlton team mates in Robert Hubbard and Mark Hegarty, it would also have future Blues players in Justin Madden and Glenn Hawker.
Watts was a very talented district cricketer for Fitzroy / Fitzroy Doncaster teams, he played season 1977-78 to 1991-92, he has two brothers Gary and Leigh who were very good cricketers as well.
Watts was recruited from Maryborough which was located in Carlton's rich Bendigo recruiting zone..
He didn't play a senior game for Carlton.
