Game Review

The Blues looked a revigorated unit in Alex Jesaulenko's return match as coach. In a game marred by some spiteful incidents which saw David Rhys-Jones suffer a broken jaw courtesy of Greg Williams, the Blues prevailed under lights at the SCG.

Travelled to Sydney for this game and sat in the Brewongle stand. Immediately below us Jezza stood and watched the whole reserves game. After that he went to the rooms, and within a minute the players ran on to the field. Certainly didn't overburden the players in his first game back.

This game is remembered fondly by Carlton fans, and is considered one of our best wins in the Home & Away rounds of the 1980's. For more games like this, please click here.
