Game Review
In front of a bumper crowd at Victoria Park, Carlton fought hard before going down by 17 points to ladder-leader Collingwood in this first 'Sectional Round.' Although never far behind, the Blues never really threatened the Premiership favourites and lost to them for the third time that season. If Carlton was going to progress past the Semi Finals, they would have to find a way to beat the 'Pies.
At the end of this round Carlton were in 3rd spot on the ladder with a percentage of 112.3.
