Game Review

Carlton were never really in this match, managing only one goal to Collingwood's seven in the first quarter and one to four in the second. Carlton had their chances but wasted numerous opporunities in front of goal. A melee at half time, shortly after Holland left the field with blood streaming and an attempt to remonstrate with his opponent Scott Camporeale, saw Carlton show as much passion as they had all game.

Darren Hulme, in his 100th game and Anthony Koutoufides were the leading possession winners with 21, while Matthew Lappin had 18. Brendan Fevola kicked 3.5.
