Game Review
The Blues were appalling. And yet, as I left, I couldn't help but think ....
..surely we couldn't play this badly again,
..surely we couldn't be this unlucky again (we hit the post 5 times and only scored 2 goals),
..surely the Pies wouldn't rate us next time,
..surely Barass would repair what was broken.
..surely all was not lost.
Hadn't I seen us kick 1-11 against Essendon on Anzac Day 1968 and reverse the result on Grand Final day? Perhaps, 1970 could still be our year.
We would see.

Interesting Fact: It wouldn't just be this whitewash defeat in a Premiership year; this game brought back memories of another horrible early season where glory would shortly follow...Round 18 | Round 20
