Game Review
A confident and deadly accurate Carlton team continued their winning ways with a nice little smashing of the Tigers - leaving us perched on top of the ladder with a healthy percentage of 144.04.
Carlton scored a hat-trick of wins to give them a perfect start to the season when they outplayed Richmond after half-time to win Monday's game by 51 points at the MCG. Wayne Harmes, when shifted to the centre, helped set up victory and ruckman Mike Fitzpatrick was again in top form. - Football Record.
Carlton had 8% more kicks, 28.4% more handballs and one more scoring shot but still recorded a 51 point victory. - Ray Young Football Record.
