Game Review
A massive second quarter by the Blues was enough to set up a game-winning margin. The magic that surrounded the North Melbourne Football Club (generally, they were everyone's second team throughout the seventies) had well and truly disipated by then.Carlton defender Ken Hunter performed stoutly again for the Blues to collect top votes against North Melbourne. - Inside Football Player of the Year.
Ken Hunter was at his brilliant best as Carlton defeated North Melbourne by 22 points at VFL Park. Wayne Harmes and Mark Maclure also did well for the Blues while John Byrne and Andrew Demetriou were the Kangaroos best. - Football Record.
