Game Review

A very impressive Fitzroy team remained undefeated on top of the ladder with this 36-point demolition of the Blues at Princes Park.
Journeyman Les Abbott played his one and only game for Carlton in a career that would eventually see him represent five different clubs, as the Blues dropped to sixth on the ladder, ahead of only St Kilda and the winless Geelong.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 6th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 79.2.

Just before half time, and on completion of the match, Umpire Gibson was attacked by some of the spectators and two men were arrested.
