Brilliant Geelong winger Robert Neal continually sent his side forward with penetrating kicks. And experienced David Barkley goaled in time-on to give the Cats the game. Carlton appeared likely to take the game at three-quarter time, when they 11 points ahead, but the Cat's pace was too much for them in the vital last term. Brilliant Carlton full-forward Greg Kennedy kicked six goals and kept his side in the game. And Syd Jackson and Greg Towns were also consistent player. - Inside Football.
