Game Review

Carlton was 10 points in front of Essendon at three-quarter time in this match of the day, and only survived the Bombers' late surge because the visitors couldn't kick straight when it mattered.
This was an important win for the Blues, taking us to the top of the ladder as the only undefeated team. Essendon was second, ahead of Geelong and North Melbourne.
