Game Review
Footscray were coming off impressive wins against Richmond and Hawthorn and looked sure to offer Carlton a stern examination. The Blues seemed to have things well under control at half-time but the Bulldogs stormed back with a superb 3rd term and led at orange time.
The Blues old-timers, Silvagni and Nicholls, and the young veteran Walls steadied the ship and the Princes Park push ultimately claimed the four points which had appeared theirs much earlier.
