Game Review
South showed out in a first half of great "win the ball at all costs" football and held the lead at half time. But from then on, it was "no race", as the Blues, realising they were the top team facing defeat at the hands of the bottom side, took control in the air and kicked 14.7 to 4.5 in the second half. This gave them an easy victory and their seventh century score in the last eight games against South Melbourne (the Swans did it when they won last year) and their 31st since 1897 against them.
