Game Review
In wet conditions Carlton dominated the 1st quarter to lead by 34 points despite the absence of key players Maclure & Rhys-Jones. Despite being outscored 9 goals to 6 thereafter the Blues were pretty much always in control. The first instance of consecutive wins for the season. The famous #4 guernsey was worn for the first time since Bosustow left the Blues, incidentally, this was the only game it was worn in between the Buzz and Kernahan. The proud wearer of the guernsey, Mark Buckley, played his first and last game in this jumper.
I was impressed with the young players in the Blues senior side on Saturday. The club has turned to several of its youngsters in recent weeks trying to get a bit more enthusiasm into the side. If Saturday's game is any guide, then the Blues youth policy is working quite nicely. - Michael Roach Inside Football.
