Game Review
Carlton would win their third game of the season against the Bulldogs at home, in a fantastic finish of a tight game of football. The margin was never more than 14 points. It was Carlton's first win at their home ground since 2001. The Bulldogs kept at the Blues but Carlton would manage to keep their noses ahead.Inaccurate kicking would leave the Blues 7 points down at quarter time despite having more scoring shots. A 4 goal to 2 second quarter and greater accuracy by the Blues than the Bulldogs would see them 2 points up at half time. The margin was just a point at 3/4 time and still a point at the final siren but a goal after the siren by Corey McKernan (his third for the day) would extend the final margin to 7 points. Adrian Hickmott also kicked 3 (2 in the last quarter).
Brett Ratten was again the leading possession winner on the ground with 28 and used them well. Jonathon McCormick had 26 and Anthony Koutoufides 24.
