Carlton Recruit Shows Potential

Carlton officials believe Glen-Thompson recruit Dave McCulloch could develop into a ruckman like North Melbourne star Noel Teasdale.
McCulloch, 22, 6ft 2in. and 14 stone, moved and looked very much like Teasdale when he appeared at training last night for the first time this year.
After being signed last year he was selected to play with the seconds against Geelong, but a leg injury caused him to drop out of the team. He did not reappear again during the season with the Blues.
On last night's display selectors are almost certain to include him in the main practice match next Sunday. (The Age March 16 p26 1960)
A report on the practice match said McCulloch was one among the best big men in the practice game.
