Carlton has enjoyed a number of great Father-Son combinations over the years. This page is designed to commemorate the families involved:
With the National Draft in 1986 came the Father-Son selection, a pick which at times has been allowed as a priority pick, and others as a 3rd (or even 2nd round selection). All Father-Sons derived directly through draft picks are denoted with an #.
There were other sons of past greats to come through the Club who never managed to crack it for a game in the seniors, listed here. Unfortunately for Carlton, there are also examples of players whose father was Blue, but due to the workings of various draft rules, or even choice, they found themselves elsewhere. These players are listed here.
Also, Orlando 'Lanty' O'Brien 38-56 games 1864 - 1876 son Thomas O'Brien played 2 games in 1894
NB - * Current Players; correct to the end of Season 2018
