From 2007 onwards, Carlton - together with other Clubs under instruction from the AFL - instituted a new alternative 'clash' strip. Despite being well known as 'The Navy Blues', a simple switch of Blue and White colours was worn by the Blues in certain games.
Initially it was not a successful strip, with our first win not taking place until our 6th attempt (2008). Thereafter, as the young Blues found some form, so did the young Whites. Our last encounter in the guernsey, in 2010, was a loss.
During the 2011 pre-season, Carlton announced that our Clash Strip would be changed to a pale blue outfit, much like the M&M guernsey of 1997...
