Game Review
Carlton led by a commanding 45 points at half-time only to fall in a heap and emerge with a disappointing five point loss. Greg Williams starred for the Swans and Barry Mitchell kicked the match-winning goal in the last quarter. Both were destined to don the navy Blue later in their careers.Tommy Alvin was BOG with 22 kicks, 5 marks, 8 handballs 2 goals
Stephen Edgar looked good on his debut but a costly defensive error in the 2nd half may have been forewarning of an unfulfilled career in the AFL.
Also of note is that Simon Minton-Connell booted nine goals in the Reserves.
