Game Review

Since Carlton defeated Geelong in the 1995 Grand Final they have managed to win just one of the last five games in which the sides have met. Carlton took only 34 marks in the wet conditions against Geelong. This is the fewest by Carlton in a game since it took 37 against Brisbane in Round 11, 1996 (but they won on that occassion).
