Game Review
The Blues entered the 2nd half of the season with a 4-7 win-loss record and little chance of finals football. The season had opened with a 41 point victory at Glenferrie and the return meeting produced a similar result.
There was precious little to enthuse about however as the Sporting Globe report described the match as "marred by mistakes, wretched kicking and fumbling".
Grieve and Deacon were best yet again and after Bert's 1947 Brownlow win, both seemed sure to figure in 1948 reckoning.
