Game Review
The further it went the further the Blues went ahead. A fine 4-quarter performance. Blues up to fourth on the ladder. Ashman 28 disposals lead a very even team display.
It was interesting to see Kelvin Templeton struggle against young Carlton star Stephen Silvagni. It was a 17-year-old against the 29-year-old Brownlow Medallist and 100-goal champion. Some years ago Stephen would not have gotten away with some of his tactics against Kelvin, but it was a case of one player with no hang-ups and nothing to lose against a player with injury problems and plenty to lose. And when you see that thing happen in top class sport, you realise how much you have to be at peak mental and physical form to do well. There is a very fine line between success and failure, especially when injuries are involved.
