Guernsey No. 40 (1960 - 1961) and 42 (1962).

Andrew Goulopoulos played reserve grade football for Carlton from 1960 to 1964. Goulopoulos was a Werribee lad who was recruited from Werribee South Football Club, with his clearance being granted on 20th April, 1960. He came to Carlton through the Comben family connection (Bruce Comben who was at the Blues at the time). Also at the club at the time was another Werribee person, the club secretary Allen Cowie.
During his time in the Carlton Reserves, he played alongside many Carlton senior players including Wes Lofts, Graeme Anderson, Dave McCulloch, Cliff Stewart and John Benetti.
At the end of his playing days with the Blues, he was cleared back to Werribee on 18th March 1965, and coached his former team there for a year following which Werribee was introduced into the VFA competition (incidentally former Blues Brian Holcombe was Werribee’s inaugural coach in the VFA). Goulopoulos would play with the Werribee club for a number of seasons before finally hanging up his boots, he would play over 100 games with the Werribee team.
He didn't play a senior game for Carlton.
Outside of football, he has been in legal practice since, and is an Accredited Business Law Specialist and a Notary Public. He is currently a Director at GSM Lawyers. There has also been an involvement in thoroughbred racing as an owner and breeder that included racing a horse named Salamander in the 1970's when, among a number of great performances at elite level, he was beaten in a close photo finish in each of a Victoria Derby (1976) and a Melbourne Cup (1979).
