Les Batty played his one & only game for Carlton in Season 1910.

Perhaps this was to be a disappointment to Batty, after all, he had come across from Geelong after the 1909 season with a handy 17 games to his name. But in 1910, Batty would swap hoops for pure old dark navy blue on a single occasion.

Batty played his footy at East Geelong before moving to The Cattery.

It was reported in the Independent (Footscray) July 9 1910, that L. Batty a wingman from Carlton, played with Footscray (VFA) against Port Melbourne the previous Saturday. (July 02)

The Geelong Advertiser May 23 1919 (p6) has the teams for West Geelong v East Geelong.
Les Batty is named as the captain of East Geelong.

Les Batty's brother Ern Batty played 9 games and booted 1 goal for Geelong in 1902.

Les passed away September 20 1930 aged 43
