Game Review

Richmond were fifth and Carlton sixth leading into this match - the loser was more than likely going to miss out on finals action. It was a hard, physical scrap for three quarters, before the Blues got on top in the last ten minutes and outlasted the Tigers in a cliff-hanger. Key forwards Ken Hands and Ken Baxter presented tirelessly all game for Carlton, and Vin Brown's dashes from full-back inspired his team.
