Game Review
It was goal for goal in the first half, the Blues going to the long break just 3 points ahead. In the third quarter the Blues took control, but an inaccurate 6 goals and 10 behinds to Collingwood's 3.3 would give Carlton a 22 point lead at 3/4 time, though they had 12 more scoring shots. In the last quarter the Magpies kicked 2 unanswered goals while both sides continued to miss shots, to get within 7 points. But the Blues responded with 2 goals before a late Collingwood goal sent the final margin to 16 points.Brett Ratten and Craig Bradley were the best two players on ground with 31 and 30 possessions respectively. Playing at full-forward, Anthony Koutoufides hauled down some big marks and kicked 6 good goals. Matthew Allan dominated the rucks, while Andrew McKay was given the job on Buckley and broke even with him, each getting 22 possessions.
