Game Review

Carlton hosted Geelong at Princes Park on this Saturday afternoon, and maintained their early-season momentum with an emphatic 63-point victory that lifted the Blues to the top of the ladder with a huge percentage of 215.67. The only other undefeated team, South Melbourne, held second spot, ahead of Collingwood and Essendon.

At full-forward for the Blues, ‘Silver’ Caine slotted four goals to take his season tally to 13 – equal with Norm Yeo of Essendon at the top of the table. Mick Grace added another three, taking his total to 10 and third place.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 1st spot on the ladder with a percentage of 215.7.
