Game Review
A fifth consecutive loss, this time to the Tigers, meant the Blues were languishing at 2-6.For the second week on the trot the Blues enjoyed a handy half-time advantage (which might have been more substantial given better kicking for goal), only to be swamped in the third term. Unlike the previous week against Melbourne, at least the Blues refused to go quietly against the Tiges. They fought back strongly in the last quarter but their earlier inaccuracy meant that, despite a 30-23 advantage in scoring shots, they fell 13 points shy of Richmond.
Ollie Grieve and Bert Deacon were again stoic in defence. Chooka Howell was also having a fine season in the ruck. More was needed from the others wearing the Navy Blue.
