Bill Strickland played the solitary game for Carlton in 1900, debuting alongside Peter Campbell and Joe Marr.

Bill wasn't even 18 years of age when he played his only game for Carlton, and in fact holds the record for youngest player in their last game for Carlton v Essendon. It would be great to know why Strickland didn't persevere. He had come down from Sebastopol.

Bill's uncle, William Strickland, played with both Carlton and Collingwood in the VFA and was also Collingwood's first Coach in the VFL / AFL (1904).

DOD: November 08 1958, aged 76 at Williams, Western Australia (wickipedia)
Williams is a Wheatbelt town south east of Mandurah.
