Pennings' Vol 5 (p57) has Ernest "Ernie" Waldron 1889 - 1890 played 10 games and later went to Collingwood.

Carlton went to Sydney to play Tasmania, NSW, and South Melbourne.
Some shipping reports mention W. Waldron, a misprint?
There is a Carlton team photo taken in Sydney with a player named Waldron.
The Sydney paper the Referee in reviewing each Carlton player said; "Waldron, a junior of good repute."

The team returned to Melbourne on the S.S. Bulimba arriving in Melbourne on July 01
The Age July 02 (p4) had passenger E. Waldron listed amongst Carlton players names on the passenger list.


Went to local junior club Rainbow in 1891.



1929 An article reprinted in the Adelaide Advertiser, June 14 1929, on the death of A. E. "Topsy" Waldron said a brother, Arthur Waldron, the youngest member of the family, went to Collingwood in it's early days.

A Carlton match report listed an E. Waldron, a printing error?
A player named Ern Waldron from local junior team Rainbow went to Collingwood F.C. (1892-1893) and played 21 games including the 'Woods first game in 1892. The web site www.collingwoodforever.com says Ern was the brother of A. E. "Topsy" Waldron
