Greg Reynoldson came up through the U/19's (1986 to 1987) to later play Reserve Grade Football in the same years from 1986 to 1987 for the Blues. Reynoldson is the younger brother of former Geelong and Brisbane player Stephen Reynoldson. Reynoldson headed back to VFA club Coburg and played in their 1988 and 1989 premiership teams playing in the key forward positions. Reynoldson would play 65 games and kick 75 goals for the Lions during his stint there.

Reynoldson grew up in Strathmerton and played his first senior football game at Shepparton United Football Club as a 16 year old in 1984.

Reynoldson would take up the helm as the senior coach of Goulburn Valley team Katandra in 1988. The Katandra Kats would win the flag that year, the team had ex Demon Rod Grinter and future Blue David Teague who was 17 years old when he played in their premiership team.

He did not manage a Senior game for Carlton.
