Game Review
Any win against Essendon is a good one, and this victory got 1905 off to a good start. Champion forward Mick Grace kicked his 100th career goal, and three future Premiership players in Charlie Hammond, George Johnson and Jim Kennedy made their debut for the Navy Blues.A very large crowd attended the game which was played in perfect conditions.
New players into the team were, Charlie Hammond and Edgar Yeomans (Northcote), George Johnson (Richmond), Jim Kennedy (Brighton), Bert Parke (University High)
