Game Review

A huge, 9 goal quarter by the third-ranked Melbourne crushed the Blues at home. Three goals in front at the last change, the Fushcias dominated the game from then on, and ended up with a nice percentage booster in the run home to the finals. The main scorer for Melbourne was Harry Davie, who broke the ground goalscoring record (which still stands) with 13 goals. Harry also kicked 5 goals in this year's Round 3, 1925 match against the Blues. Davie crossed to Princes Park to play for the Blues in 1928.

At the end of this round Carlton were in 10th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 73.4.
