Game Review

Fitzroy had been the dominant team of the competition right through the year, but the improving Blues served it up to them until the third quarter of this first round match of the 1900 Sectionals. The Maroons defence got on top after that, and they pulled away to win by five goals. However, the Blues went down fighting, and the final margin wasn't a true indication of the contest - especially since it was played at the Brunswick Street Oval.
