Stephen Zavalas played reserve grade football for Carlton as a top-up player in 1995. He kicked a goal in his solitary game for the Blues.

Zavalas was recruited from West Footscray in the WRFL, he was playing for the TAC Cup team the Western Jets at the time.

Zavalas headed back to the WRFL and played in a premiership with Parkside in their 2000 win over St Albans. He also took up a senior coaching role within the WRFL.

He did not manage a Senior game for Carlton.
