Game Review
Carlton showed their supremacy at this important time of the season, with their second 20 goal plus score in two weeks and fourth for the year, when they swamped St Kilda from midway through the second term and finished up kicking 12.6 - the highest by any side this season in the last quarter. The Saints started well with the wind advantage, but the overall greater skilled players and teamwork of the Blues gave them little chance after this. It was the Saints lowest against any team since round 21 last year, and their lowest against Carlton since 1966. It was Carlton's greatest winning margin (101) since their record creating highest ever League score of 30.30 and the biggest win over the Saints since 1947. - Football Record.Carlton recorded it's biggest win over St Kilda since 1947 when it defeated the Saints by 101 points at Princes Park. Robert Walls kicked five goals for the Blues, and Alex Jesaulenko and Rod Ashman four each, while George Young booted three goals for the Saints. - Football Record.
