Melbourne Rules - Challenge Cup Competition
Original Carlton Football Club player.
DOB:
DOD:
Career: 1864-1870
Could be Joseph Williams (1847-1924) as Bill Williams had brother by that name. Perhaps Jim was his middle or nick-name?
He is referred to as Joe in Bill's bio page obit.
To confuse things, Pennings' Vol 5 has a James "Jim" Williams 1865-1866 and a Joseph Williams 1868 - 1873.
Pennings also has William 'Bill' Williams 1865 - 1877. In the obit on Williams' page it hints that his brother was already at Carlton when he joined.
Further investigation is required.
