The Argus April 30 p.7 describes O'Loghlen as
"a plucky and consistent, rather than the brilliant type."

1894 He was named in the Carlton squad to play Footscray in the opening round of 1894.

1934 June 23
Saturday's Sporting Globe (p7) has an article on footballing families.
"A reader from Brunswick claims a record for the team from that suburb in the 90's, when six O'Loughlins and five McNamaras stripped for them."
"Later Tom O'Loughlin played with Collingwood, Pat and Mick for Essendon, and "Snowy" with Carlton. Snowy has a son with Melbourne this year who is likely to develop into a champion."
