Game Review
Once again, the Blues had more scoring shots than their opposition, but the first-placed Maroons were able to fend off Carlton with a 13-point win. Charlie Fisher was injured during the game, and as it seemed likely that he would miss the rest of the season, he resigned the captaincy in favour of key defender Paddy O'Brien. Charlie Canet retained the vice-captaincy.At the end of this round Carlton were in 5th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 105.0.
