Game Review
A 12 goal to 5 first half would set up Carlton's third victory in a row. At one stage the Blues kicked 8 unanswered goals, while the Tigers rarely entered their forward 50 and took a 55 point lead. But the Tigers came back with an 8 goal to 4 third quarter, which reduced the margin to 23 points at the final break. It took 20 minutes for either side to kick a goal in the last quarter- which would edge the Tigers closer, before Carlton kicked the final 2 goals of the match, to run out 31 point victors.Full Forward Brendan Fevola kicked 8 goals from 10 marks and brought his tally to 21 from the last 3 matches. It was also his third straight Best on Ground performance. Unfortunately he was reported and subsequently suspended in this match. Nick Stevens had 23 possessions.

Interesting fact: 3 Wins in a row. This would be the first time since Round 22, 2001 that the Blues would win 3 games in a row. We wouldn't do it again until 2009, some 5 years later...
