Game Review
Strugglers Fitzroy caused a huge boilover when they recovered from 38 points down at quarter time to get up and beat Carlton at Princes Park, perhaps the result of Carlton coming off a five day break after playing on the previous Monday. But in a weekend of upsets, Hawthorn beat Melbourne and Collingwood knocked over Essendon to limit the damage to Carlton's ladder position. Although our percentage took a hit, we still clung to fourth spot.Monday's Argus said McLean took a knock early in the match, afterwards he said he could not remember the game.
The first time Fitzroy had beaten the Blues in 7 years.
At the end of this round Carlton were in 4th spot on the ladder with a percentage of 115.0.
