Game Review
Carlton set up victory over the Lions in this Queen's Birthday clash with a 6 goal to 2 first quarter, although it could have been more, had they not kicked 5 behinds. Their 26 point lead at that time would change little throughout the rest of the match, not helped by another 5 behinds and just 2 goals in the second quarter, while the Lions added 3.3. The Blues were only able to manage another 6 goals over the remaining 3 quarters, while the Lions scored 7, to end up 21 point winners.Craig Bradley had 39 possessions. Luke O'Sullivan had 28, Brett Ratten 27 and Greg Williams 26, as did Michael Sexton from defence, while Adrian Hickmott had 24.
The win put Carlton into 8th position on the ladder.
