Game Review
Carlton were too strong for the Adelaide Crows and led from start to finish, more than doubling their score to win by 68 points. In the absence of Ratten, Anthony Koutoufides had 36 possessions, while Jim Plunkett and Craig Bradley had 34 and 31, both kicking 2 goals. Matthew Lappin's 5 goals (4 in the first half) helped set up the victory. One second quarter goal where Lappin crumbed a boundary throw-in & snapped truly was a highlight. Popular opinion - backed up by footy facts - was that he was desperately unlucky not to be named in the All-Australian side after kicking over 50 goals for the year from a Half Forward Flank.
