Game Review
Carlton made four changes to the side that wilted badly against St. Kilda the previous week, and they accounted for Fitzroy by 32 points at the Brunswick Street oval.
Former Demon and future Premiership player Peter McLean played his debut game for the Blues, who climbed to seventh place on the ladder.
"It was Ron Barrassi at his best during the third term against Fitzroy.
Barrassi gathered in the ball, hand-passed to Adrian Gallagher, who, after fumbling, got the ball to Bill Bennett.
Bennett had a short kick under pressure. Barrassi marked the ball, then hand-balled back to Bennett, who kicked Carlton's sixth goal."
