Game Review

In continuing from their recent history of spiteful clashes (see Round 17 of 1927) Carlton and Richmond would again have players reported in a game between the two clubs. Richmond's pace was too much for the Blues, and the game was never a contest, the Tigers running out easy 53 point winners.

The Blues who finished 4th played against the Tigers who finished 2nd, the other semi final pitted the Magpies (1st) against the Demons (3rd).

.*Reported in the Maitland Weekly Mercury as the largest crowd to attended a football match in Victoria.
