Game Review

If last week was rock-bottom, then this week surely was the start of the Carlton resurgence.

The tenacious Blues stuck at it all day; tackling, grinding and delivering well with short passes rather than the long bomb to the opponent. The Umpires were well and truly paying every soft little free to our opponents but we never gave up.

The greatest upside of all was the brilliant leadership and skill of our brilliant two - Patrick Cripps and Charlie Curnow, who each bagged 3 and each dominated their spot. Lesser lights but emerging Blues Fisher, Dow, Kennedy and Weitering all gave us hope.

The Blues had a lot to work with. A small number of critical errors gave easy goals, but the spirit was there..... and the Blues had a future to look forward to.
