Revisit Rounds 01 Popular clubman and perennial 19th man Charlie McInnes had a memorable afternoon - kicking 6 goals from a forward pocket as the Blues crushed the Shinboners by 66 points at Princes Park.

NB. Some historical books indicate that this match was the match where Bob Chitty took the field with half his finger missing after an industrial accident at work. The Blueseum understands that to be incorrect, with the relevant match instead being in 1945. In this particular match, Chitty suffered an injured elbow (in his 100th match) but the record of the injured finger match to 1945 in underlying newspaper records.
