Game Review
The Blues struggled for skills and any momentum in this tight and scrapphy match at Blacktown. A number of options were tried for the new forward line, but nothing really seemed to click as we went down by 2 goals.
In the wash-up,
Brad Fisher was confirmed to have torn his ACL. A week later he would undergo radical surgery to replace his ACL with artificial componentry in an effort to save his 2010.

Game Review
Brendan Fevola may have had his Carlton homecoming a little more quickly than expected but it wasn't a victorious one, with Carlton recording a 13-point win over Brisbane in this NAB Challenge clash at Visy Park. Fevola was restricted to just two goals and two marks by
Michael Jamison. The Blues trailed at every change but outgunned the Lions in the final stanza to score their first win of the pre-season. They had an even forward line, with
Eddie Betts the standout with an impressive three goals.

Game Review
This game saw the return of
Jarrad Waite after his knee reconstruction and
Marc Murphy after hip surgery in January. A number of other senior players were rested, although
Chris Judd, who would be forced to sit out the first 3 home and away rounds due to suspension, did make the trip to play against his former club. A slow start proved costly but coach
Brett Ratten said the result meant little in comparison to seeing the return of Murphy and Waite.
The Blues managed just two goals in the opening half, while the Eagles kicked seven, taking the game away from the Blues.
Eddie Betts and
Ryan Houlihan each kicked two goals for the Blues, with Betts joining
Chris Judd,
Kade Simpson and
Shaun Grigg among the best players.

Game Review
Carlton was close to full strength for this final pre-season hitout, while the Crows were without a number of key players.
Ryan Houlihan was the leading possession getter with 25, followed by
Andrew Carrazzo and
Shaun Grigg with 22,
Bryce Gibbs with 21 and
Mitch Robinson with 20.
Setanta O'hAilpin was among Carlton's best in the first half with two goals and provided a target up forward.
Jarrad Waite played his second match since a knee recosnstruction and had some early touches before fading out of the contest.
Marc Murphy ran hot and cold in his second pre-season match, but kicked a crucial goal in the second term.
